Easy Vegetarian Recipes
Finding easy vegetarian recipes is the key. Eating vegetarian is easy; for me, eating was never the problem. Especially at first, planning is the difficult part.
Simple vegetarian recipes may already be part of your meal planning portfolio. Start by cutting out red meat and substitute a great vegetarian burger recipe.
Keep it Simple
Most people rotate between 7-10 recipes for dinner. My daughter wrote all of her favorite menus on slips of paper, put them in a jar, and drew them out before going to the grocery store. She was rotating her meals, but with alot more choices! Did I mention that her husband does most of the cooking!
Replace hamburger & sausage in your pasta sauce with mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli, or other vegetables
Meals can be planned around naturally low fat proteins such as beans, lentils and rice. Low fat or fat free cheese can replace meat.
The big American grocery stores carry a variety of meat substitutes. Soy, vegetable, or rice options often look and taste enough like their meat counterparts to fool you and your meat-eating friends.
